Pay check

I didnt get my paycheck yet. And Ive been waiting for weeks now, still i dnt have a definitive date on when to pick it up. The office manager patricia cunningham of sterling aventura, doesnt reach back and no definitive reply on when I could come and pick up. I dnt think, she doesnt even process it yet, and I’ve been waiting for weeks now.

I told them the employee shouldn't go without some sort of disciplinary action or at least proper training to where she would know the difference in a Clorox wipes container and a package of huggies and or parineal wipes. I was told I just needed to worry about myself. I expressed sympathy for the resident due to her possible exposure of a chemical burn on her parineal area and they responded "we don't think you are cut out for this job", and I was terminated on the spot.

I was training with an employee and I stopped her when I noticed she was cleaning the resident with Clorox cleaning wipes rather than Peri-care wipes. What horrified me the most is I walked in to the resident screaming and the caregiver didn't even stop. I reported it to the director and I was blamed for not being present to stop her in the beginning then told accidents happen and that the caregiver would not have any disciplinary action. My response was how would you feel if that was your grandmother. That's a chemical burn. The director's response was maybe this isn't the field for you. I looked at her and said maybe you are right, I am compassionate and I love my job and my residents and I will not be apart of a company that is okay with giving a resident a chemical burn in their Peri- area. I left and told her I wouldn't be coming back. I do not feel I am wrong for this, prior to getting hired I informed them immediately upfront I will not tolerate abuse of any kind.

Disrespected on text message from my DON and lied too

Hi I need someone from the corporate office to contact me to address a matter that happen on 9/30/2018, regarding my DON @bellingham retirement home, on the PC side I was disrespect and lied to and on and I fell this was not appropriate for a Don to be texting me when I never texted her I texted my scheduler regarding the matter and I just need someone to get back to me about this because this isn’t rite or fair for me as a employee who been here for 11yrs.

14 thousand dollars stolen from up front payments

I PAID THEM UP FRONT AFTER NEUROSURGERY, THEY FIRED THE GREATEST EMPLOYEE THEY HAD STOLE FOURTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS , OF MY UP FRONT PAYMENTS.I TRIED TO SET UP A MEETIND WITH JUSTIN, SHE LEFT TOWN WHEN THE MEETING WAS SCHEDULED SAYING IT WAS HER BIRTHDAY.NOONE CAN UNDERSTAND WHY SHE IS STILL EMPLOYED.

WAITING ON REFUND SINCE 2016

MY MOTHER PASSED ON 25TH OCT 2016. AT THE MORNING SIDE HOUSE IN LAUREL, MD. TO MA MY AVAIL THE COMPANY WAS SOLD TO SENIOR LIVING LIFE STYLES. I HAVE EMAIL KIM SMITH,( ON OR AROUND NOV 2017) IN REGARDS OF THE REFUND- SHE FORWARDED MY INFORMATION TO SIX(6) - I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM ANY ONE AT THE CORPORATE LEVEL...I HAVE NOW BEEN CORRESPONDING WITH THE Laurel, MD LOCATION. IT SEEMS THAT NO ONE WANTS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OF EXPEDITING THE REFUND. i AM CALL AND CALL PROMISED RETURN CALL, NEVER GET ONE. I WASH ADVISED ONE MONTH AGO THAT A CHECK WAS BEING SENT OUT, ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT THE CORRECT AMOUNT, SO I PROVIDED THE COPIES OF THE CANCELLED CHECKS --- ALONG WITH AN EMAIL FROM THE MORNING SIDE EXECUTIVE-STATING THE REFUND AMOUNT. My wife and I are being told to leave primarily because I have complained about not receiving the nursing care that we expected, were promised, and are paying for.

We have been residents at the Sheridqn at Windermere since August 15, 2017. We are happy with the facility, the scenery, our rooms , housekeeping, maintenance and entertainment.

Our only complaint is with nursing care. As a charter member we were fortunate to be at the Sheridan with only four other residents. At that time I expected assistance or help to arrive within 15 minutes. That was not the case then and it is the case now.

I talkied many times with the Diector of Nursing Ali Ervilus concerning our care and ways to improve it. He had many reasons why prople under his direction could not give better care to the few residents. All conversations were met with no improvement and sometimes were actually counter-productive. A man from Senior Lifestyle Corporate Hq was here working with the dinning situation.

I trusted him with a letter that stated examples of the care residents were receiving at the Sheridan. Instead, her gave the letter to the Sheridan director. A few hours later Director Ali Ervilus came to our room with a notice to leave in 45 days. I believe this was not a coincidence.

Elizabeth's conidition has not changed since the day we arrived in Aug 2017 as charter members. We do not want to move.

We had to move our 96 year old loved one due to lack of care staff. There were some good ones not enough of them.

Management was non existent and didn't address concerns. Reached out to corporate headquarters and got no response so evidently a company culture of not caring.

The most egregious example of an illegal and dangerous practice was to find the pull cord in the room put in a position where it was unavailable for the resident to have access to it. This happened more than once and was brought to to attention o management only to have it occur two days later.
